Congratulations to Hannah Mosier, Winner of the College Student Category of the Scary Song Contest and McKenna Cape, Winner of the Studio Student Category of the Scary Song Contest!!!
Another yearly Scary Song Contest is upon us. The students this year range from 3rd grade to Junior in High School, as well as 4 Barton College Students. A comment counts for a vote. Remember that I have to accept a comment before it appears. I will try to keep the comments updated once or twice a day. The contest will be open until November 4, 2013. The 4 Barton students are on their own page . As a fun project on the Roland Fantom Synthesizer, this is also a learning experience. Students must learn a scale or tonality, use the tonic of that tonality frequently and understand how to perform with the metronome. Enjoy our songs!
Welcome to our Fourth Annual Scary Song Contest. Each student has created a scary song by layering tracks on the Roland Fantom G8 Synthesizer. Students range from 2nd grade to 9th grade. The musical skills invoived in this activity include matching the beat with a metronome, learning a minor scale, and balancing melody and accompaniment.
Also check out the Barton Piano Students Page at the top. Please vote on your favorites by clicking on their post and making a comment.
